Rapier Wit respects the privacy of our students, colleagues, and other individuals who seek out our services and products. As part of our commitment to protecting your privacy, we adhere to all legislative requirements, and we will employ our best efforts to ensure that the information you provide to us will be safeguarded, and used only for the intended purpose.
Why We Collect Information
Any personal information collected is done with your consent. When you request information or services from Rapier Wit, or register for classes, we collect certain personal information in order to meet your requests. The information provided may be used for one or more of the following reasons:
- To register you for classes or workshops;
- To contact you with information about the classes you’ve registered for;
- To provide you with notification of meetings, events, workshops, products, services or programs, according to your notification preferences;
- To provide to third parties assisting in the fulfillment of your requested service or product, as required; or
- To respond to your information requests.
We may share aggregate information, but not individual information, about our students or clients with others in the interest of improving our services; improve or design new products, services, or programs; or to enhance the studio’s overall effectiveness in delivering its stated goals and objectives.
What We Will Not Do With Your Information
We do not sell our client/student information to anyone. Nor do we share or trade this information with others who may use it to make unsolicited contact with you about their own products or services.
Website and Electronic Commerce
We will strive to protect the privacy of those who visit, browse, or use our website. For example, we do not collect information on those individuals who access the website; we do not make e-mail addresses available to other organizations; and the information you provide to us on-line will only be used to provide you with the information that you have requested.
Like all web servers, certain information is logged about each visit to the site. For example, the address of your Internet provider, your operating system and browser service, the date and time of your visit, the pages and files you visited or downloaded, the web site that linked you to our site, and the search engine and keyword(s) used to find our site. This information is summarized into aggregate reports and is used to provide us with a means in determining if the content and services available on our website is meeting the association’s goals and objectives.
Any links to third-party websites from our site are provided solely as a convenience to you. Please be advised that we are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and we recommend that you read the privacy statements of each site you visit.

We will strive to keep your information as accurate, complete and up-to-date as possible. You may ask to see that information to ensure its accuracy and have it amended as appropriate. The information will only be retained for only as long as it is needed, or as required by law.
Withdrawing Your Consent
At any time a student, partner or individual can refuse to provide personal information or may withdraw their consent for us to keep or use the information they have provided us. Should the occasion arise, and you wish to be removed from selected, or all, of our contact lists, please contact the studio’s Chief Privacy Officer (see contact information below). Note – you should be aware that in such cases, this might limit the studio’s ability to provide you with the necessary services to meet your needs.
